Caps Beer Garden, Terminal C, Newark Liberty International Airport, Newark, NJ 07114, Newark
Great concept. Increased service time. Of course. Airport prices. But great if you are a Unitied Member or frequent flier. 20 percent off. Or use those miles. Awesome five stars for that idea. Prompt that person
Good food good beer high prices at Newark terminal
woukd expect a bit more, and better, beers on draft for a place called a beer garden. food is good and there are a couple good microbrews available.
Ordered a glass of wine and cheesecake. Took the staff forever to figure out that I didn't order sushi (person in front of me and the person to my right both ordered sushi). 30 minutes later my flight was boarding. The wine showed up at minute 29, but the cheesecake was no where to be found. Asked to speak to a manager to get the cheesecake refunded and was brushed off by the staff who said "oh don't worry it will refund you automatically", which sounds like a line of BS. Almost missed my flight due to trying to get the food refunded before I left. Embarrassingly bad time management and terrible customer service. Will never go back and would never recommend stopping here. You get better customer service from a Panera Bread or a McDonalds.
Fast, friendly service plus a huge selection of adult beverages!
I ordered chamomile tea with lemon, didn't get lemon. Pretzel almost burnt, no salt evident. With only 1 other customer, the 2 servers were more involved with getting cozy at the bar.
Expensive but what do you expect in an airport. Fast service though.
Good food. Good service, airport prices
$10 Pretzel that looked nothing like iPad picture. No salt, no pickles and different mustard than what was advertised. The pretzel cqme and the manager who delivered it asked if i wanted anything to drink. I said yes, i ordered a beer. He said he would go get it. 5 minutes later i saw him eating food. The beer never arrived. After I finished my pretzel I had to request a server so I could ask where my beer was. After bringing my beer i then had to ask for a napkin, which never came with my pretzel. So i was sitting there for 10 minutes with butter hands and no beer. Countertops are also always dirty. Even after they wipe them down. They need to use something different. Pretzel was bland, beer selection is awesome, everything is overpriced, and service is terrible.
Service slow. Prices high. Drinks below par.
Good beer selection and friendly quick service.I'm giving two stars for the lame "captive audience advertising" on the tablets. And the chairs don't budge an inch- I'm about to get on a plane, lemme pretend to have a little freedom while I drink my $10 pint ಠ_ಠ
They don't cook everything freshly the sushi most of time is fresh
Food was good
This place made me sad. Took 10 minutes just to get 1 beer. The beer was handed to me with the can in a glass. They do have a good beer selection. And some local brews
The very idea of electronic interface bars is awful. While the menu for food and drink is impressively varied and interesting, the human interaction is sorely missed. Tipped my staff in cash to express my aggravation.
California roll was good... and so was their aperol spritz!
Nasty lady running people out of their seats if they're not buying from them, not sittting at the bar mind you. Like a cafeteria monitor in elementary school. Never seen anyone forcing people out of these seats for any reason. It's not even busy. Glad will never return.
nice small place
I ordered on the iPad available for the orders and as soon as I paid, I got my drink. Literally, within 1 minute. If you struggle to find the card reader, see the pic attached pic. I ordered a lobster roll which came with avocado and shrimp. It was good but perhaps too dry. It needs either a touch of eel sauce or spicy mayo.
Food was mediocre and they were incredibly slow. Took 19 minutes to deliver a coffee (ironically a "Coffee to go"). At least it was warm.
Great service and food
I often take my friends to this restaurant with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are flavorable and the team is welcoming and cooperative. Every time we go to this place we enjoy a delightful evening. I warmly recommend this restaurant.
Busy time of time of the day. Crowded.
Food was good and service reasonably timely. Expensive, but it is an airport so...yeah. Scale your expectations to an airport and it was pretty good!
Good selection of beers
Service is decent but don’t bother ordering any food. Here for an early flight and got an inedible egg and bagel sandwich. Might been made last century.
Extremely better than Nonna's so far.
🍻 was warm and chicken wings tasted really bad.
Great place and service!
Great place to hang out. No watered down drinks. Great bands.
If you are sitting at one of the self serve tablet stations, instead of directly at the restaurant, beware that the defaulted gratuity on the tablet is 20%, even though you don’t have traditional restaurant service—just a food runner. I loved my peanut butter brownie mousse, but it sure was rich.
Interesting place. A beer garden surrounded with individual food stands. Almost like a food truck concept. Great diversity in the food, I think it's great for groups after work kind of place.
Food was decent but service slow. My plane started boarding before my food arrived. When I went to ask the waitress to pack it to go I found her busy chatting and my food was just sitting on the counter waiting for someone to bring it to me.
Food and beer was alright. Prices were overpriced but not ridiculous for Newark airport. Can use United miles to pay.
Got our beer and played a game. We won prizes but never got them.
Good spot for a quick beer before a long flight.
Confusing ordering system. Didn't have everything on the menu. Chairs make horrible screeching noises. Tequila sunrise was very weak.
I think the service here is less than what you'd expect at Burger King. Gratuity automatically defaults to 20% but it's more 1% worthy. Drinks were fine but the service was so poor that our waitress literally handed them to patrons we didn't know and asked them to pass them over. After the 3rd time, the other people finally asked why she didn't just walk the few extra feet to hand them to us.
Tight seating but great
Their kale salad had no recognizable kale.
Good young people provide great services
Sandwich was very tasty. iPad a little confusing when placing order. Service was very helpful and quick.
Long restaurant in Terminal C. Lot's of food and drink selections.
At Newark Airport. Service is good.
There was beer. The beer was adequate. The place had the expected appeal of an airport bar. Everyone enjoyed their beer thinking of distant lands where the bar establishments are a place of gathering rather than a place of distance. The open concourse gave the garden a futuristic feeling in some regards. Where everyone is too far away to meet in person. Where everyone communicates via electronic channels. Where the only noise present is the echoes of mass produced pop music coming from down the hall drowned out only by the clicking of smartphones. There was nothing specific wrong about this bar. Was it not for the longing to understand life's true meaning that one will undoubtedly desire when stepping foot in an airport bar, this fine establishment would receive 5 stars. Also, I still haven't been successful in finding the "garden".
Delicious sushi!!!! Seriously so good and not insanely priced!!!!
Great place to relax and wait for your flight. Sushi & Light fare, and beer. Can't go wrong. They also seem to carry just about everything else
